All Learning Reflection ( Blog 14)



All Learning Reflection

On Monday 20, 2015.
         Today, I studied about Problem and Solution with Asst. Prof. Dr.Usa Noytim. This lesson is difficult for me because I don't understand and then I don't find main idea in the text. I try to do it ,but I don't understand and I expect that if I repeat yourself again and again, I will well understand.Teacher allow to us to do practices and answered together with us. 
         I felt unhappy for this lesson because I don't find main idea from the text ,so I don't understand. I felt too difficult for me.

         Few months ago, I studied about many lessons which are different genres of text. There are...
- Recount   : This lesson is using language to keep the past alive and help us to interpret experience.
- Narrative : This lesson, my friends and I are to act by role play in topic " The Secret" 

- Descriptive : This lesson is a text which says what a person, a thing or a place is like.


- Procedure : This lesson is instruction which to tell us how to make something is accomplished through a sequence of action or steps.My friend and I tell about " Yum Pla Dook Fu"


- Comparison and Contrast : This lesson is comparing between two or more things. (same or different)



- Cause and Effect : This lesson is used to show how the facts or concepts result due to other facts.


- Definition and Classification : This lesson is to divide general concepts into a number of different types.

- Exemplification : This lesson is writing to use specific, vivid examples for the purpose of adding more information to explain, persuade,define,or illustrate a general idea.

- Problem and Solution : This lesson is difficult for me. I don't understand in the text and then I don't find main idea. I try to do it and repeat yourself again and again.

         I my opinion, I felt fun for some lessons ,but I don't understand for many lessons. Although I don't understand for some practices, I try to learn yourself it. Sometimes I request my friends to help in my practices and explain in the lesson. Finally, I felt happy and enjoy because teacher taught to me for understanding and then she explained to us when we don't understand and answered together. Teacher answered for us always when we asked her. I am very pleased for studying with teacher. I got many knowledge and see fact from video,youtube,and your story.Sometime,I felt fun when I heard about your story and teacher like to share experience to us for action and motivation.

Problem and Solution (Blog 13)


Problem and Solution


On April 3,2015.
         Today, I studied A Discourse Approach in Reading with Asst. Prof. Dr. Usa Noytim. Teacher made up class. Teacher taught about Problem and Solution. Before I learned this lesson, teacher answer the homework about Exemplification. I can do it and I understood. Teacher taught about problem markers and solution markers. Then, I did the skill practice in the sheet, I circled the problem markers and highlight the solution markers. I think this lesson is very difficult because I have to read the text and found the problem and solution markers. Some practice I can do it ,but I don't understand. Although this lesson has discourse markers about it ,but I don't understand. 
         In my opinion, this lesson is very difficult even though this lesson has discourse markers. However, I try to do it and repeat this lesson always in order that I can understand this lesson more.

Exemplification (Blog 12)



Exemplification


On March 23,2015.
         In the afternoon, I studied this subject again because next month has vacation days, so teacher must made up class to us and teacher afraid she will miss the teaching. Teacher allow to us to highlight the discourse markers, read in the text 2 about the whales , completed the diagram and decided which statement is true and which is false to add T or F in the blanks. I think I can do it. 



         After that teacher taught about Exemplification, she explained in the sheet and do practices. Teacher allow to us to highlight the Exemplifications and read the texts and match the place with the activities. I think it is easy ,but it is difficult about answer the questions because some question want to conclude and I cannot it. I should read more and highlight keywords or read question before I read the text.

         
         In my opinion, this lesson is difficult because I must remember the discourse markers that they help to read. I felt fun and do skill practices.Finally, I watched the procedure cook video from my friend, I felt happy and hungry.




Definition and Classification (Blog 11)




Definition and Classification


On March 23,2015.

         In the morning, I studied A Discourse Approach in Reading with Asst. Prof.Dr. Usa Noytim.Teacher taught about Definition and Classification , she explained and  sampled explanations in the sheet. Definition and Classification are different types, they help your academic reading if I can identifying and understanding texts. This sheet contains Definition and Classification Markers and stratgles, These will help me categorize and understand texts that contain technical terms, definition and classification, and also skill practices. I can do practices.After that teacher allow to us to read the text and answer the questions.This lesson is difficult. For example, in text 1, I can read this text ,but I cannot find to the main idea of the text or I can find ,but I did wrong. Then, I completed the diagram ,but I cannot choose suitable some sentence to add in the diagram.So I should more read and concluded the text to proper and short answer ,but the reader have to understand.
       
         In my opinion, this lesson is difficult because I must remember the discourse markers that they help to read. I felt fun and do skill practices.

Cause and Effect (Blog 10)



Cause  and  Effect

 

On March 16, 2015.
     In the morning,I studied A Discourse Approach in Reading with Asst. Prof. Dr. Usa Noytim. Teacher answered about Men and Women:Do They Speak the Same Language? and then we do it together.Teacher told about main idea and allow to us to highlight the phrases,and underline the discourse marker words.This lesson is difficult for me because I must remember discourse marker words about it.
     In my opinion,I felt fun and a little bit of confuse this lesson.

Men and women in Thai native culture 
     
     Now men amd women are parallel.Some Thai women is patient and fighting,but the most of Thai women is gentle and attractive for cook.In contrast,the most of Thai men is leader and powerful.Communication for Thai women is better than Thai men because Thai women is beautiful and smile. Thai men is following better ,but I think both Thai women and men have identity and then each person has special personality is different and each person will good or not well ,it depends ability of you.For example,In my family,my father is leader and powerful and my mother is a adviser for children.


     In the afternoon, I studied about cause and effect. Teacher allow to us to do practice 1,circle the cause and effect markers, highlight each cause and mark it,and underline each effect and mark it.I think this practice isn't difficult,I can do it. After that teacher allow to us to do practice 2,circle the cause and effect markers and then compete the cause and effect diagrams and write the correct letter in each box.After that I read the text and answer the questions that follow and then  I complete each sentence by choosing the best ending.I think this lesson is very difficult for me because I don't understand about write the correct letter in the text, but I felt fun and the last class, I watched video about my procedure of friend.It is fun and interesting for me.

Comparison  and  Contrast


                          Yesterday I studied A Discourse Approach in Reading with Asst.Prof. Dr. Usa  Noytim. I took an mid-term exam about recount, narrative, description,and procedure. I think I can do it but I'm not sure for a passed an exam. After that teacher answered homework about text 1-2 and then teacher told about keyword to find in the text. This lesson is difficult because each text is unseen and I don't know vocabulary.
                  In my opinion, this lesson is difficult  because I have to find discourse word and I understand but I don't know some vocabulary so I don't can translate for some text.

Comparison and Contrast


On March 2,2015.
            Today I  studied A Discourse Approach in Reading with Asst. Prof. Dr. Usa  Noytim. Before the lesson, Teacher  allow to us to do test about Unit 1-3 and I felt very difficult and I expected I will take a test pass and then teacher answered homework about Procedure with us together. After that teacher taught about Comparison and Contrast, explain meaning and tell about discourse markers and then teacher presented example and allow to us to do practice. I think this lesson is difficult because I have to separate between two things that I found comparison and contrast.
            In my opinion, I felt happy and fun about secrets video and I will try for this lesson.

Procedure (Blog 7)



Procedure



           Yesterday, I studied A Discourse Approach in Reading subject with Asst. Prof. Dr. Usa Noytim. Teacher answered my practices about descriptive and then teacher taught about Procedure by watched video from youtube. Procedure is about how to do something. I watched video about how to make banana cake and then teacher allow to us to do practice. This lesson is easy because this lesson is enjoyed for watched  video. 
           In my opinion, This lesson is easy and I understand and enjoy for this lesson. I am very happy.

Descriptive (Blog 6)


Descriptive


On February 9, 2015

           Today, I learned about descriptive. Teacher allow to see and describe in the picture in the group. In the picture, it is a Komodo Dragon and then we looked at the two mind maps and teacher described it. Teacher allow to us to read each descriptive text and answer the questions. I think I can understand for this lesson because this lesson is easy but I don't understand for some vocabulary so I also must use dictionary.
           In my opinion, this lesson is easy and understand.Today, I watched the short story,they have good acting and fun.

Narrative 2 ( Blog 5)



Narrative(continue)


On February  2, 2015.
         
     Today, The teacher taught us about narrative continue. Teacher allow to us to discuss in the group about the summary part two and one of all in the group presented in front of the classroom. after that I did the exercise by put these sentences in the right order to produce a summary of the second part of the story and then teacher answered us together. Teacher allow to us discuss to share opinion about three people in this story and then we presented. After that I discussed in the group about feeling in the story and then chosen the three reasons which I think are most important. Teacher allow to discuss in the group about the story' s story symbols that symbols are mean. I think this lesson is easy because I can know some vocabulary, I can translate and teacher allow to imagine role-play that Kylie has grown up.
       In my opinion, this lesson is not difficult. I felt happy because teacher has activity for us so I don't sleep.
