Narratives (Blog 4)


Narratives


On January 26,2015.

          Today, I learned about narratives. Teacher allow to read "Secrets" and then put a cross on line in the circle, at an appropriate point, to show how you felt as a child. After that teacher read the story about secrets and then teacher asked us about this story in the part one, then teacher allow to us shared idea about this story and explain about sample text about narrative that narrative have difference with recount.After that teacher allow to us to divide in the group and then each group completed this summary of the first part of the story by adding three fairly short sentences and discuss your ideas first with another students. After that one of all in the group have to present in front of the classroom.Finally, teacher allow to us to do homework about read the story "part two".
          Today, I felt happy and fun about teacher's secrets.I think this narrative isn't difficult but I don't know some vocabulary and I must practice more.

Recount 2 (blog 3)

Recount (continue)



On January 12,2015.
    
       Today, the teacher taught us about recount continue in the afternoon at room 234. First,the teacher taught the text in topic " An Excursion to the Botanic Gardens" and answer the questions.After I was done exercise 4, the teacher allow share my answers and then teacher wrote recount with my group and share idea in front of the classroom. Soon after teacher allow play game about childhood secrets by put a cross on line in the circle, at an appropriate point, to show how you felt as a child.
        
       In my opinion, the lesson is difficult but I will try and I felt fun during I did work with my group. This activities can make harmonious with my friends.

On January 12,2015.
    
       Today, I learned about recount lesson in the morning. Teacher brought to lesson by watched video and then teacher assign us that students wrote words about "Hockey"  and explained details about 

purpose,types of recount,text organisation and 

language features

After teacher assign us that students read and 

analyse the text and then we read text and answer 

the question in exercise 1 and 2.I thought...the 

finding words about refer to when,who,what and 

where in the text is easy and then I thought that the 

finding words about linking words to do with time and

action verbs in the text is difficult because 

confused. I should solve problem by practice.

I felt confused with many words about recount.I 

thought this lesson is difficult for me.

Course introduction (blog 1)



Course introduction




On January 5,2015.
          
             Today is the first day of semester 2. I studied A Discourse 

Approach in Reading with Asst. Prof. Dr. Usa Noytim. Teacher 

introduced about the course outline (e.g. course descriptions, aim,

objective, content, teaching and learning activities, evaluation and 

assessment, learning materials as well as 5 domains of learning).

I learned about discourse, found meaning and did exercises,

read texts and then found type of texts. Teacher taught Discourse 

markers. I thought...the match the following words with the 

correct genres of text is easiest because I known a little bit of 

discourse markers. I didn't understand about the complete the 

sentences of each paragraph by using the discourse marker words

because sometime I maybe wrong and I confused. I can solve this 

problem by read more and used dictionary for translate. However,

I must do practise and learn yourself.




I felt fun for the finding discourse markers in text, and

sometime I confuse about some word can use many meaning but I 

understand and improve more. Thank you for A list of discourse

Week 1...
